SEA SUNDAY
July 13, 2025
Join us this Sea Sunday as we honour the seafarers whose hard work and sacrifice keep our world connected. On July 13, churches across Southern Ontario are invited to come together in prayer, gratitude, and support for the men and women who spend months at sea, often far from family and home.

Sea Sunday is a meaningful opportunity to recognize the challenges faced by seafarers like long days, dangerous working conditions, and isolation, and to reflect on the essential role they play in our daily lives. From food and fuel to electronics and clothing, much of what we depend on arrives by sea.

This year, MTSSO invites your church to be part of a growing wave of compassion and awareness. By participating in Sea Sunday, you’re helping us bring comfort, care, and connection to seafarers arriving in local ports.
Whether you host a special service, collect an offering, or simply take time to pray, your involvement helps us show seafarers that they are seen, valued, and supported. Some congregations may also wish to plan a fundraiser, but even a single offering can go a long way in providing care and connection to seafarers who are far from home.
